The Division of Allergy and Immunology, Barbara and Donald Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is seeking a clinical Physician Scientist specializing in primary immunodeficiency disease at the assistant/associate professor level to join the A&I faculty. Preferred candidates will have an MD or MD. PhD degree with a track record of basic, clinical, or translational research accomplishments.

The Division of Allergy and Immunology has a very large population of children and adults with patients with a wide variety of genetically defined primary immunodeficiency disease, and others with secondary or acquired immunodeficiency diseases causes by treatment of autoimmune disease or cancer. The Division houses a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center with a fully staffed research laboratory in The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research within the Northwell Health System. There are 9 A&I faculty members, 4 fellows, 2 PAs, 1 FMP, and 5 nurses in the Division. There are 4 centers of excellence including, primary immunodeficiency diseases, food allergy, drug desensitization, and the pediatric asthma center is closely linked to the Steven and Alexandra Children s Medical Center of New York which is the #1 Children s Hospital in New York State.
