The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology / Tufts Liver Center and the Gastroenterology Center in the Department of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a full time Gastroenterologist / Hepatologist to join our dynamic team of providers.

The division seeks to recruit a dedicated clinician and researcher to serve as Director of Hepatology.

Tufts Medical Center is the academic hospital hub for the Wellforce Health System. The GI/Hepatology Division has taken a leading role in expanding opportunities for practice outreach and growth in outpatient clinic, inpatient, and procedural referrals. Significant growth in Hepatology, in addition to Therapeutic Endoscopy, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and GI Motility is underway. Such growth offers tremendous opportunities for expanding the footprint of the Tufts Hepatology Program in the areas of clinical care and collaborative research.

Tufts Medical Center is an exceptional, not-for-profit, 415-bed academic medical center located in the heart of Boston. The Medical Center is the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine. The Tufts GI / Hepatology Division is an active teaching environment, with 8 full time fellows in addition to Internal Medicine residents and Tufts medical students.

How you'll transform patient care:

• You'll grow and hone your leadership and organizational skills
• You'll provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations in Hepatology with support of Tufts GI fellows, APP's and dedicated pharmacist's and dieticians
• You'll have an active inpatient and outpatient research program with the support of a research coordinator
• You'll be apart of our Liver Center Clinic where Fibroscan services will be offered
• You'll join an organization built on designing a frictionless network of care for patients

Who you are:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology / Hepatology
• Background in leadership, teaching, and research.
• Passionate and interested in teaching and building a busy clinical practice
• Able to obtain a Massachusetts medical license
