Our Vision

To be your trusted choice for care whenever and wherever you need.

Our Values

Care New England’s organizational values emphasize individual contributions and a team-approach that foster Accountability, Caring and Teamwork (ACT). The success of any organization is the tangibility of its mission—what it envisions as its goals and the ways in which it plans to achieve them—and the cohesiveness of its workforce in supporting and advancing this mission.

Care New England was founded in 1996 and is an integrated health care system that offers a continuum of quality care. The system includes primary care and specialty physicians; three teaching hospitals affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University: Butler Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, and Kent Hospital; a home care and hospice agency, the VNA of Care New England; a community-based mental health and addiction provider organization, The Providence Center, including Anchor Recovery; Care New England Medical Group; and Integra Community Care Network, our high-preforming accountable care organization.

Care New England believes in treating all employees and applicants of diverse backgrounds with dignity and respect, which is one of CNE’s core values.  Diversity refers to all differences between people. This includes, but is not limited to: gender, race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religious beliefs or spirituality, national origin, ethnicity, physical ability, cognitive ability, medical condition or reproductive and behavioral health.

We further believe in treating such individuals with dignity and respect regardless of their geographic or socioeconomic background, political affiliation, culture, title and practice area, communication and learning style, or any other real or perceived differences.

Care New England Medical Group (CNEMG) was established in 2016 to bring together Care New England‘s health care providers to collaboratively deliver high-value care. Governed by providers, the multispecialty group is focused on increased access to patient-centric services to improve the overall health of the community we serve.

About Rhode Island

Rhode Island, despite its small area, is known as the Ocean State as it boasts nearly 400 miles of beautiful coastlines. Although it may only be 1,545 square miles, RI has 15 state parks and 10 state beaches along with several other hidden gems of peaceful and scenic lakes, rivers, walking areas and hiking trails.  Providence, the state’s capital, combines the accessibility and friendliness of a small town but offers abundant cultural, recreational, and modern city amenities of a big city.  Providence is home to a number of higher education institutions including Brown University, Johnson & Wales, Providence College and the Rhode Island School of Design, sprawling historic Roger Williams Park, landscaped Waterplace Park and Riverwalk, with the famous WaterFire exhibit, as well as some of the best eateries and restaurants you’ll find, locally and beyond.

In addition to Providence, RI is also home to several other large cities, including Newport, which is famed for sailing, the Gilded Age mansions, and the Cliff Walks; Bristol, known for beautiful Colt State Park that sits along one of the state’s most spectacular shorelines; Block Island, infamous for the 1800s red-brick Southeast Lighthouse that sits atop the dramatic clay cliffs of Mohegan Bluffs, with a rocky beach below; the third largest city Warwick, located in southern RI, is close to the beaches and home to the state’s main airport, as well as beautiful Goddard Park, Oakland Beach, and Pawtuxet Village along with some great shopping and dining options.

Rhode Island is one hour from Boston, Hartford and New Haven and three hours from NY City.
