Saint Alphonsus Medical Center (SAMC) Baker City has an excellent full-time (0.9 FTE) opportunity for an experienced, Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician to practice in the Emergency Department located in Baker City, Oregon.
SAMC Baker City is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a Level IV Trauma Designation serving Baker County and the surrounding communities in eastern Oregon.
The well-qualified candidate will commit to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care in the Emergency Department and support the regional needs of the Oregon Trauma System and the Saint Alphonsus Trauma Network. Requirements include a strong clinical background and completion of the required delineation of privileging which includes ACLS, PALS and ATLS as a minimum. The opportunity also requires Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Baker City.
Support includes 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; Level IV Trauma Center; ED; Saint Alphonsus FM clinic on-site; community family medicine clinics; SAHS specialty physicians rotate in outreach; larger system resources.
The schedule for this full-time (0.9 FTE) employment opportunity is 24-hour shifts, 65 shifts per year.
Requirements for this opportunity include Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency program; board certification, or board eligibility, in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine; obtain Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC Baker City and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
