Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Anesthesiologist to join the Department of Anesthesiology and provide care at both Loyola University Medical Center and MacNeal Hospital located in the greater Chicagoland area.

There are a wide-variety of clinical experiences for the provider including complex orthopedic, neurosurgical, obstetrical, urologic, surgical oncology, and trauma. Care is delivered in a dynamic and energetic setting with a large group of collaborating providers including CRNAs and Anesthesiology Residents. Supervision of trainees from multiple disciplines and clinical teaching of LUC medical students are an active feature of this practice.

Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants should be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois at the time of hire.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) is a 61 acre medical center campus conveniently located in Maywood, 13 miles west of the Chicago Loop. LUMC is a quaternary care facility with 547 licensed beds, a Level I Trauma Center, nationally recognized Burn Center, renowned Transplant Center and a special 20-bed unit for patients undergoing stem cell transplant. The center provides top hospital care in all medical specialties, including orthopedics, nephrology, cardiology, cancer, ophthalmology, and surgery.

LUMC has a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. Most faculty members have joint appointments at Hines and Loyola students and resident physicians rotate through Hines as part of their training. Researchers from Loyola and Hines collaborate closely on many federally funded studies

MacNeal Hospital is a 374-bed teaching hospital, with more than 550 medical staff members in 50 specialties, advanced inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and psychiatric services, and advanced diagnostics and treatments in a convenient community setting. Our leading-edge technology and facilities allow our team of cardiovascular specialists to deliver a full spectrum of services for you and your family. Two immediate care locations offer quick and easy access when a medical issue is not an emergency but cannot wait for a standard appointment. In addition, MacNeal has a 12-bed acute rehabilitation unit, a 25-bed inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program. Our MacNeal Center for Internal Medicine is a primary care clinic for adults, where resident physicians and attending physicians work together as a team to discuss treatments and care for patients.
