The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking assistant, associate, and full professors to be part of its growing clinical, education and research missions in sub-specialty area of Hip Preservation and Reconstruction.
Position Highlights:
- The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at MCW includes 41 clinical faculty members, 4 active research faculty members, 39 advanced practice providers, 25 residents and 4 fellows.
- Affiliated clinical sites include Froedtert Hospital, Children s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), Community Memorial Hospital, and several ambulatory surgery centers in SE Wisconsin.
- Our adult reconstruction team currently consists of APPs who are skilled in total joint replacement, reconstruction, revisions, and hip preservation techniques with a special emphasis on reconstructions that are now failing. We employ state of the art techniques including allografts.
- Enjoy strong interdisciplinary collaboration. Participate in the Hip Preservation Program that discusses patients monthly at a multi-disciplinary meeting of surgeons, APPs, non-operative specialists, and research assistants.
- Help drive the research agenda for Hip Preservation and Reconstruction
Qualifications:
- Strong clinical abilities and a passion for providing high-quality patient centered care.
- Well-refined interpersonal skills, and a desire to collaborate with our talented team of surgeons who choose to practice and innovate together.
- A commitment to our academic mission, and interest in participating in scholarly activities which could include education, research and/or QI work.
- Fellowship training and board certification/board eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Eligibility for unrestricted Medical Licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
