Seeking an Electrophysiology Cardiologist to practice in Fort Worth, Texas

Requirements:

  • MD or DO candidates
  • Internal Medicine residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
  • Fellowship in Electrophysiology completion required from an accredited program
  • Board Certified/Board eligible in Cardiology required
  • Board Certified/Board eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology required
  • Seeking candidate ready to begin practice between now and mid-2023

  • THPG Heart and Vascular Specialist Fort Worth is a cardiology practice with 18 physicians and 13 APPs. The cardiology practice was founded over 50 years ago (previously known as Consultants In Cardiology) by Dr. Robert Capper
  • Currently two full-time cardiac electrophysiologists
  • Retiring cardiac electrophysiologist (the 3rd EP) in June 2023 with a device panel of 1,500 patients and a similar number of non-device arrhythmia patients
  • Opportunities for clinical trial research
  • Opportunities for clinical teaching with medical students and internal medicine residents
  • Expected patient volumes for starting cardiac electrophysiologist is 200 patients per month

Seeking a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist to join a well-established cardiology group with significant growth plans. Growth plans for cardiac electrophysiology include the establishment of a program at Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth Hospital along with the expansion of the existing program at Texas Health Fort Worth Hospital. The two hospitals are located 15 minutes apart allowing close collaboration between the cardiac electrophysiologists.

Current EP offerings include SVT, AF, and VT ablation. Complex congenital ablations are performed in conjunction with pediatric cardiac electrophysiology from Cooks Medical Center. Device implants include brady and tachy devices along with physiologic pacing (His bundle and LBB pacing). A mature lead extraction program is exists with > 350 performed cases.

With the opening of the $300 million Jane and John Justin Surgical Tower on April 2, 2022, Texas Health Fort Worth expands to an 850-bed facility with the capacity to increase to 1,000 beds. Starting in July 2022, the Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth TCU School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program welcomes the first internal medicine residents. The TCU School of Medicine recently announced plans to open its new campus adjacent to Harris Methodist Hospital in 2024.

About 15 minutes away is Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth a 209-bed facility that opened in 1987 in the southwest portion of Fort Worth. Texas Health Southwest is certified by the Joint Commission for the hospital s heart failure program and is also certified as a Cycle IV Chest Pain Center. The hospital has a designation from the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
