Seeking a Surgical Oncology MD/DO (with Colon and Rectal) to Lead the Irvine California Team

City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking an exceptional Surgical Oncologist with Colon and Rectal experience to lead their new $1 billion state of the are comprehensive cancer campus, in Irvine CA. This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 370+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in desirable Southern California.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, support quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation for Surgical Oncology Program
• Mostly outpatient and some inpatient surgical oncology treatment, with a focus on low intensity colon and rectal, as well as routine perianal surgery

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a surgical oncologist with excellent clinical skills and evidence of the ability and desire to build a practice and think programmatically
• Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center
• Comfortable starting and growing a satellite facility
• Academic record as an Associate Professor or Professor
• Participation in clinical research, publications and presentations on international and national stages
• M.D./D.O. degree, Board certified and fellowship trained, Eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
