Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
The University of Utah, School of Dentistry, Section of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is recruiting a faculty position for predoctoral and resident coverage for in and outpatient hospital caseloads. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in an active full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery hospital practice at the University of Utah Hospital. Future plans include the development of a six-year OMS residency program.
We seek qualified applicants who support diversity and inclusion initiatives and foster a diverse, supportive and inclusive environment for faculty, students, staff and patients. This position requires board certification or board eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In addition, they must be eligible for a dental license in the state of Utah.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to educate pre-doctorate dental students and GPR residents in the clinical aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and opportunities in faculty hospital commitments. Additional responsibilities include developing and advancing the pre-doctorate curriculum and teaching in the pre-doctorate didactic courses.
The position is available in the tenure-line or career-line (clinical track) at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. Rank will be determined by the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
