Assistant or Associate Attending Physician, Occupational Health Department

We Are: 

Employee Health & Wellness Services (EHWS), the medical center occupational health department of MSK, is seeking a full-time physician specializing in Infectious Disease or Occupational Medicine. We provide essential expertise/consultation to support our 22,000 staff. This is a faculty position which combines clinical and administrative work, with opportunities for teaching and research. Faculty rank and title will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The clinic is located in NYC and the job position allows for partially remote work (optional). You Are:

You Will:
  • Provide high quality evaluation and care of employees and staff in our medical center occupational health clinic (e.g. post-offer pre-placement medical evaluation, work-related illness or injury (evaluation, treatment, referral); medical surveillance, and return to work evaluations with or without accommodations
  • Contribute to the prevention of infectious disease transmission among healthcare personnel and patients, such as reduction of risks for acquiring infections on the job (e.g., immunizations) and managing infectious exposures and illnesses to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases (e.g. blood borne pathogen exposures, COVID-19, influenza)
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to guide the data analysis and strategy for employee health infection control and prevention activities (e.g. contact tracing, cluster/outbreak investigations)
  • Interact positively and work with multiple collaborators across MSK (e.g. employees, human resources, infection control, environmental health & safety, hospital administration, regulatory affairs)
  • Actively participate in designated MSK committees

You Need:

  • Board certification in Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Infectious Disease, or Internal Medicine and a Valid Medical License
  • Experience working in medical center employee health, infectious disease, or corporate medicine/population health
  • Understanding of regulatory body standards (e.g. OSHA, DOH, CDC), Workers’ Compensation, ADA, Workplace Health & Safety
  • Unrestricted NYS medical license (NJ licensure may be obtained after hire)
  • Unrestricted federal-issued DEA
