Fair Oaks Women’s Health in Pasadena, California is looking for an Ob/Gyn Physician to join our busy, successful, and growing suburban private practice. We perform more than 700 deliveries per year, all at Huntington Hospital which is next door to our office. Our now 10,000 square-foot office (4 waiting rooms, 22 exam rooms, 3 ultrasound rooms, and a private lab) recently added 3,000 square feet across the hall.
You can research our group at www.fowh.com. Read our Yelp and Google Reviews. We are the premier Ob/Gyn group in Pasadena. We accept only private insurance (mainly PPO), no Medicaid or HMO. We have 3 full-time RDMS ultrasound technologists, an in-house lab, and we have the Mona Lisa Touch vaginal laser. There is a popular bio-identical hormone program on-site (Pasadena Pellet Therapy) and a high-end boutique Medi-Spa also (Marina's Oasis). We have been using an EMR since 2008 and are known as a high-tech medical practice; since 2020 we use athena as our EHR.
Pasadena has an outstanding medical community. Huntington Hospital, a Pasadena institution for more than 125 years, has an 80-bed ER, a Level 3 NICU, a 12-bed Perinatal High-Risk Unit, 24-hour in-house Ob Anesthesia and a 24/7 Laborist Program (OBHG). Dr. Ramen Chmait has his LA Fetal Surgery program here. The Hospital has completed the addition of 6 new Operating Rooms with 3 dedicated DaVinci Xi robotic suites and a new high-tech cardiac emergency suite.
In 2021, Huntington Hospital began an affiliation with Cedar-Sinai. Of the changes planned, one will be the introduction of the EPIC EMR system, probably in late 2022. Currently, the hospital uses Cerner. Huntington is rebranding as "Huntington Health - an affiliate of Cedars Sinai".
Our building, the Huntington Pavilion, has the Huntington Ambulatory Surgical Center one floor above us, and the region's top breast and body imaging centers one floor below us. SCRC (So. Cal. Reproductive Center) has an IVF clinic on the first floor. USC occupies the penthouse suite with more than 50 medical specialties, including Gyn Oncology, Endocrinology, Urogynecology, and Breast Oncology. The USC MFM group is in the building next door. HRC Fertility, founded in Pasadena, is blocks away.
The City of Hope Cancer Center is minutes away and many of their specialists (Endocrinology, Gyn Urology, Gyn Oncology, Breast Oncology) work out of Huntington. Shriners for Children has one of their premier pediatric orthopedic centers 2 blocks south. A new medical building is planned across the street.
Pasadena is also a multi-cultural community with a great diversity of art, entertainment, sports, education and religions. We have the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl, Cal-Tech, JPL, Huntington Gardens and Library, Pasadena Playhouse, Ice House Comedy Club and many museums and theaters. All Saints Episcopal Church is here and Holy Family Catholic Church is in South Pasadena. There is a Jewish Temple as well as houses of worship for many Christian denominations, Mormon, Buddhist, Baptist, Armenian, Greek, Muslim, Hindu and others.
We are minutes from Downtown Los Angeles via the Pasadena Freeway or the Metro Gold Line. The local private schools (religious and secular) rank amongst the best in California as do the public schools in nearby San Marino, South Pasadena, Arcadia and La Canada. If you’re a foodie, Pasadena has the largest number of restaurants per capita for any city its size in the US. If you like bakeries, we have Cupcake, Bundt Cake, French, European, Asian, Vegan and even a dog bakery!
