NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, located on First Avenue & 97^th Street in Manhattan, accommodate over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Providing routine care such as vision testing and prescribing glasses and contact lenses.

Performing corrective surgeries, such as repairing injuries and corneas, and removing cataracts. Performing advanced surgical procedures, such as keyhole or laser surgery.

Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and injuries.

Managing emergency eye clinics, outpatient clinics, or other specialist eye clinics.

Treating medical disorders that affect the vision through a holistic approach. U

sing therapeutic procedures and performing biopsies.

This position will also: 

Be eligible for faculty appointment At New York Medical College while teaching and supervising Residents

Flexible Work Schedule

Primarily be treating pediatric patients 

ABMS BC/BE in Ophthalmology

NYS license in good standing

Completion of Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship 

Experience in Surgical Pediatric Ophthalmology

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire, plus proof of subsequent booster vaccines within one month of eligibility.
