Director of Clinical Cardiology

Dartmouth Health (D-H), one of the nation’s leading innovators in clinical care and national healthcare policy, is seeking a BC/BE Cardiologist to join the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine as Director of Clinical Cardiology and lead the ambulatory and inpatient Cardiology programs. The Director is appointed by and reports to the Chief, Section of Cardiovascular Medicine.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical proficiency and be eligible for or have achieved the rank of associate professor or higher. He/she should also have experience in leadership and an academic record in clinical or population research.  The administrative responsibilities of the successful candidate include establishment and implementation of policies and procedures, process innovation to ensure practice efficiency, review and participation in quality assurance activities, and oversight of clinical safety and risk management.  Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inpatient and outpatient management of cardiology patients. 

The successful candidate will engage in strategic development and growth of the ambulatory and inpatient programs. In addition, the candidate will engage in academic activities, including research and the mentoring of physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as cardiovascular medicine trainees, internal medicine house staff, and students from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.  This position holds an academic title at the Geisel School of Medicine commensurate with experience and academic portfolio.

Qualifications:
•    Board Certified in Internal Medicine
•    Board Eligible/ Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine
•    Must be able to obtain/ maintain New Hampshire Medical License
