Prisma Health, the largest not for profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a visionary and enthusiastic leader to serve as Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs within the Department of OBGYN. The ideal candidate will have Associate or Professor level experience.

The position will be responsible for leading clinical operations within the Department of OBGYN and on behalf of Prisma Health, including practice operations and related finances across the various care delivery platforms (inpatient, outpatient, physician office, clinic, etc.) while assisting the Departmental Chair.

Accountabilities include:

  • Oversees department clinical operations including leading Collaborative Care Teams in the implementation of related initiatives, in partnership with other clinical leaders, i.e., Nursing, Laboratory, and other key services.
  • Coordinates and leads the development of both short-term and long-term Department specific goals that are aligned with Prisma Health goals
  • Leads departmental patient satisfaction (HCAHPS, CGCAHPS, and internal surveys) improvement efforts
  • Leads departmental operations efficiency improvement efforts that result in enhanced value.
  • Leads clinical protocol development and deployment through care pathways and other initiatives
  • Develops and leads clinical program growth plans as part of Prisma Health growth priorities
  • Represents Department on committees as requested by Department Chair
  • Helps develop and manage clinical operations budgets
  • Maintains clinical practice sufficient to assure clinical competence, obtain direct observations, provide professional credibility & enhance social fabric.
