Northwest Emergency Department on Georgia
Opened in September 2019, Northwest Emergency on Georgia is the second freestanding emergency center operated by Northwest Texas Healthcare System. Serving southeastern Amarillo, this facility is open 24 hours and treats a variety of conditions, including chest pain, stroke, respiratory distress and more. Northwest Emergency on Georgia also provides 24-hour lab services.

American Physician Partners is seeking a Physician for our Free Standing Emergency Medicine Program:

•Average 20-30 patients per day
•12 or 24 hr. shifts
•EM, FM, or IM with Experience
•EMR: Cerner
•Direct Admission to Northwest Texas Healthcare System if Needed

Community Overview:
Amarillo is located within the middle of the Texas Panhandle in the northern part of the state, within Potter County. The city is almost equidistant from Albuquerque, NM (285 miles to the west) and Oklahoma City, OK (245 miles to the east), both of which are accessible via Interstate I-40. First settled in 1887, the settlement originally called Oneida would later change its name to Amarillo, the Spanish language translation of "yellow."
