Wellstar, an award-winning integrated health system with a strong nationwide reputation, is seeking a GI Hospitalist to join its team in LaGrange, GA. Position Overview

• Position is 100% inpatient hospitalist role with no clinic hours
• Schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off:
  • Monday through Friday, the GI Hospitalist will cover the hospital from 7 am to 5 pm
  • No after-hour call responsibilities for the GI Hospitalists Monday through Thursday night as the traditional GI providers cover call and after hours during the week
  • GI Hospitalists then provide on-call coverage only from Friday morning through Monday morning
• Patients are admitted by the hospital’s hospitalist team. The GI team does not perform admissions
• The GI Hospitalists provide ED consults, inpatient consults, and may perform emergent procedures
• The hospital has a brand new endoscopy suite with 4 GI rooms
• The GI hospitalists average 5-10 GI procedures per week.
• GI Hospitalists have been covering the holidays fully for the Gastroenterology team

Compensation and Benefits – GI Hospitalist

• The incoming physician will join the Wellstar Medical Group at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center as a full-time employee with a base salary and benefits package
• $500,000 base salary
• Quality incentive – Quality incentive up to 15% for value and finance metrics
• $20,000 Signing Bonus (two-year contract)
• Up to $20,000 relocation reimbursement
• Salaried only position – no wRVU
• 5 days for CME annually with an annual allowance of $5000
• Dues, licensure, and DEA fees are covered by WMG
• Health and liability insurance coverage under the current policy held by WMG
• 403b retirement with match
• Employer will pay for medical malpractice insurance of $3 million occurrence-based plan
