Oral Surgeon
A special and infrequent opportunity to join a three doctor practice at the base of the Finger Lakes which was established over 65 years ago. The practice is able to offer this rare opportunity as one of the doctors will be retiring. Each of the doctors who has practiced here through the decades has trained and /or worked previously in a metropolitan area. Upon arrival to this practice, the average employment duration has been approximately 30 years as each doctor has enjoyed the benefits of a unified practice philosophy and the splendor of this geographic locale.
The practice is a three location, fee for service, 100% referral based practice that strives for optimal work life balance. It is an office based practice with no hospital call. There is an emphasis on wisdom teeth, dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, and pathology. Certain cases are performed in a Day Surgery Center as needed. The work week is 4 ¼ days and the practice has an Implant Educational Center the benefits the robust referral base. The practice has strived to provide the highest ancillary care as it employs 4 full time RN’s, 2 part time RN’s, and 2 full time LPN’s to assist the doctors.
We are interested in an incoming doctor who is seriously interested in partnership. The new board certified/board eligible doctor must be energetic, adhere to the highest ethical standards, have the utmost respect for patients and co-workers, and be a team player. The first year, the doctor would earn a base salary of $350,000 (plus a possible bonus) and have 4 weeks of vacation/continuing education. The tract to partnership would begin the second year and is incredibly reasonable. Starting the second year, the doctor has the opportunity for 7 weeks of vacation/continuing education. The practice has a multitude of benefits, including both a 401k plan and a defined benefit plan for retirement.
The area provides a very central location in New York with the ability to easily drive to New York City, Philadelphia, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo. It is the home of the Fortune 500 company, Corning Inc., and the area provides a safe, very affordable, fresh air opportunity to raise a family. The area is deeply endowed with geographic beauty and affords the ability for Finger Lakes sailing, golfing, hiking, wine tasting, skiing, and many other outdoor activities. It is also nearby to Cornell University events and is home to a multitude of museums including the world renowned Corning Museum of Glass.
