Academic Cardio-Oncology Cardiologist | Division of Cardiology
The Division of Cardiology at the University of Rochester is seeking a board-certified/ board-eligible noninvasive cardiologist to join an elite team of academic physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank. The successful candidate will have expertise in the emerging field of cardio-oncology with a focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying cardiovascular toxicity of oncologic treatments, preventative care and management of cardiovascular complications from therapy. Care would include routine and complex cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient consultative and primary services in a world-class facilities: Strong Memorial Hospital and James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. Current need for research and clinical faculty to build both the clinical and translational programs. Interest or experience in imaging is preferred but not required.


  • Board Eligible/Certified in Cardiology
  • Successful completion of a US accredited cardiology fellowship
  • Eligible for an New York state medical license
  • Current DEA certification
  • Qualify for an academic appointment at the University of Rochester Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience.
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine
The Division of Cardiology comprised of over 50 cardiologists with focus areas to include: general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory assist, pulmonary vascular disease, women's cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. There are currently four fellowship programs: core cardiovascular medicine fellowship, interventional cardiology fellowship, electrophysiology fellowship, and heart failure and cardiac transplant fellowship.

The University of Rochester is a quaternary referral medical center with referrals from across the broad region of New York State with a state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 4 catheterization labs and 3 EP labs. The division has a newly created dedicated 22 bed CICU fully staffed with a team of 7 cardiac critical care intensivists and 20 advance practice practitioners.
