The Thoracic Surgery service with Franciscan Medical Group is hiring a Thoracic Surgeon for our new hospital, St. Michael Medical Center, in Silverdale, Washington. We are actively looking for a board certified general thoracic surgeon with robotic and minimally invasive experience in both lung and esophageal surgery.
St. Michael Medical Center is a 258 bed regional referral center for the Olympic Peninsula located 45 minutes from Tacoma Washington and a 1 hour ferry ride to Seattle Washington. The practice is supported by a group of medical and radiation oncologists who are focused on building a regional cancer center with the help of pulmonary and gastroenterology specialists. The outpatient practice will be located with two busy cardiac surgeons at the same institution, and further supported by two general thoracic surgeons in Tacoma Washington. Inpatient care is supported by a group of employed advanced practice providers that work both in the operating room and manage patients on the floor. Call is shared with the thoracic surgeons from Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and will be at most one in three nights and weekends.
The Olympic Peninsula is a growing population just outside of Seattle and Tacoma Washington and is ideal for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to grow a practice.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree
Board Certified
Fellowship training
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
Ability to obtain a DEA prior to start date
