The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist or Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider to provide outpatient coverage in its Autism Assessment, Research, Treatment and Services (AARTS) Center (www.rush.edu/autism). The AARTS center is a comprehensive, lifespan program delivering clinical, resources and outreach to individuals with ASD and their family members (https://www.rush.edu/services/autism-care/autism-resource-directory). The program also has a robust clinical research program in developmental, social and emotional challenges in youth and adults with a range of neurodevelopmental and mental health challenges. Qualified candidates will be a Psychiatrist or Physician who has completed a Child Psychiatry fellowship or a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Provider. Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) populations and/or clinical research experience is preferred.
The successful candidate would be encouraged to provide specialized diagnostics and medication management services in our outpatient program, mentor trainees, participate in clinical trials, and engage with our community outreach through local and national organization, community education, as well as academic presentations.
