Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a board certified/eligible cardiac surgeon to join the Division of Cardiac Surgery of the Heart and Vascular Institute. The ideal candidate will have broad training and experience in adult cardiac surgery and have a particular interest in heart transplantation mechanical circulatory support. The successful candidate will have an academic faculty appointment with the Department of Surgery, Penn State College of Medicine.
What we are seeking
- Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
- ABTS board certified/board eligible
- Completion of an ACGME approved surgery residency
- Completion of an accredited cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program
- 3 5 years experience preferred, but exceptional junior candidates will be considered
As faculty members employed by Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, candidates will be involved in clinical, teaching (medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows), and research activities. Successful candidates will have a keen enthusiasm for teaching and working in a team to provide excellent care.
