The University of California, Davis, is seeking a hematologist to serve as the Program/Clinical Director Bone Marrow Transplant for a growing practice in a stimulating environment. In this leadership position, the successful candidate will participate in the clinical care of patients and research related to stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, hematologic malignancy, and/or immunology related to graft versus host or graft versus tumor effects. Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and be board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology or hematology.

  • Academic leadership opportunity - Director of Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT)
  • Join a robust clinical and translational academic program within the NCI-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes phase I-III clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, as well as ongoing interactions with other cancer specialists
  • Responsible for Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) oversight and maintenance, contracting, quality and compliance, strategic development, marketing and outreach, and research
  • Direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participate in California Institute of Regenerative Medicine-funded Alpha Stem Cell Clinics
  • Lead a dynamic program to FACT accreditation renewal
  • Develop an integrated service line
