The Hampton VA Medical Center in beautiful Hampton, Virginia seeks Board Certified/Board eligible Psychiatrists to care for Veterans. These opportunity locations are in the following departments: Outpatient clinks; Substance Abuse and Emergency Medicine. Call coverage is only 2 -3 times annually.
In this opportunity you may perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations on Veterans who suffer from depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, substance abuse and other psychiatric disorders using a patient-centered team approach.
In addition, provide a full range of contemporary, evidence-based therapeutic interventions including diagnostic assessment, mental status examination, psychotherapy, medication evaluation & management.
Practice in a collegial, competent, and staffed mental health department. Hampton VA Medical Center has an academic affiliation with nearby universities as well.
