Adventist Health Sonora is actively seeking a mission-minded Family Medicine Physician to work in a Medical Directorship role. The MD, along with his/her Operations counterpart, has distinct accountability for the quality of the clinical professionals and their work, provider behaviors, production, compliance and patient care standards.

The position is primarily located in an outpatient rural health clinic. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both primary care and in administrative leadership positions. The candidate will provide leadership and show a demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all employees in a team-oriented environment. The directorship expectation is 24 hours per month. The position will be hired through Adventist Health’s affiliated group, Physicians Network Medical Group.

Sonora is an idyllic town on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Fondly known as “gold country,” Sonora is ideally located within a few hours from Sacramento and San Francisco, close to Yosemite National Park.

Candidates must be BC/BE, be CA licensed or eligible and meeting the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.
