Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Provide direction and leadership for the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator. Provide a variety of professional medical services to inmates to include administering examinations, diagnosing medical and other problems, prescribing medications and providing treatment and follow-up care. Successful candidate must have an active medical license in the state of California. Family Medicine, background preferred. Must have active DEA license.

About the Facility:

Otay Mesa Detention Center is located in the east/southerly section of San Diego county, 25 miles from San Diego.

The facility houses approximately 2000 male and female ICE and US Marshall detainees. The facility has 24 hour, 7 days per week nursing staff with medical, dental and mental health departments within the medical clinic.
