Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery

University of Kentucky seeks an Assistant Professor in Lexington, KY to participate in clinical teaching activities within the Department of Neurosurgery; provide direct or consultative neurosurgical care for patients with neurosurgical illness in the Department’s outpatient and/or outreach clinics;  attend on the Neurosurgical inpatient ward and/or consultative services and/or provide coverage for other faculty; acquire and improve skills in research and teaching pertinent to future leadership roles in Academic Medicine; establish research protocols and participate in research activities of the Department of Neurosurgery.  This position requires a M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent; board eligible or board certified in Neurosurgery; completion of Neurological Surgery Residency Training program; and eligible for state-required Medical License.  National background check and/or drug screen may be required.  Travel to multiple worksites in Fayette County, KY and Rockcastle KY.  Qualified candidates submit resumes to: michelle.zupancic@uky.edu.
