Medical Director-Perioperative Care Center

Ochsner Medical Center-New Orleans, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is searching for a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for the Medical Director-Perioperative Care Center (PCC).

The mission of the PCC is to provide surgical patients with optimal and organized perioperative care through early assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration, education, effective communication, and innovation.

The Medical Director will oversee operations of a large clinic including ten nurses, two APPs and two physician FTEs assigned daily to support triage and optimization of preoperative and pre-procedural patients for a 900-bed tertiary-care referral hospital.

The Director will spend approximately 60% of their time on the PCC and 40% of their time providing anesthesia in the hospital operating rooms and procedural suites. Qualified candidates will ideally have leadership training and experience designing systems of care.
