The Yale School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We welcome scholars from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds including, but not limited to: clinical epidemiology, clinical trials, comparative effectiveness, implementation science, pharmacoepidemiology, or health services research.
An MD or other doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, Dr PH, ScD, DBA), by the start of appointment, and post-doctoral research experience is required, as well as evidence of potential for a scholarly career that will include publications and successful grant writing. For physicians, Board Certification or Eligibility in Addiction Medicine is encouraged.
The successful candidates will be part of the Yale Program in Addiction Medicine situated in the Department of Internal Medicine’s Section of General Internal Medicine. Important content areas closely aligned with a focus on addressing substance use, particularly alcohol use; HIV; and health disparities research.
The successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively across various departments in the School of Medicine and graduate schools at Yale and have or develop an externally funded research program leading to top tier peer-reviewed publications. Successful physician candidates will be expected to provide general medical care on the hospital wards, primary care centers and/or specialty care on the inpatient Yale Addiction Medicine Consult Service and primary care centers.
