GI Interventional Endoscopy – Clinical Faculty

Rush University Medical Center

Chicago, IL

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for advanced endoscopy faculty positions in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Digestive Diseases.

We are looking for applicants with training in advanced endoscopy to join the expanding interventional endoscopy team.

Academic appointments will be in the College of Medicine of Rush University; rank will be commensurate with qualifications and training.  Our academic medical center is part of a large system focused on patient care, teaching, and research. More specifically, the Division of Gastroenterology is part of the Digestive Diseases Service Line which integrates clinical care, teaching, and research efforts to advance the subspecialty. The faculty are part of an integrated team of clinicians and researchers who also collaborate with allergy/immunology (GI/adverse reactions to food clinic), colorectal surgery and oncology (a comprehensive clinic for gastrointestinal cancers), bariatric surgery, ENT, pathology, and neurology.

Rush GI has consistently been recognized as one of the top programs across the nation. The most recent US News and World Reports placed Rush University Medical Center as #21 in Gastroenterology & GI in the nation. Additionally, our training program continues to provide the GI subspecialty with exceptionally trained physicians. The program accepts 3 general GI fellows in training per class and includes an advanced therapeutic training program (one 4th year fellow per year).

Digestive Diseases clinical care is rendered across multiple hospitals and locations within our system (Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Brook, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and other off-site locations including south loop). There are also several free-standing clinical sites with plans to expand our “footprint” with continued future development. This is an exciting time at Rush GI and we would like to recruit colleagues that will share our academic vision and enthusiasm. Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
