About the Role:

The Vice-President of Medical Technology & Innovation (VP of MT&I) is responsible for stewardship in the identification, vetting, and implementation of healthcare innovations, medical technologies, and clinical information management. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer of Advantia, and will require working as a practicing ObGyn physician within one of the Advantia Practices 2-3 days per week.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and rollout scalable clinical products, including but not limited to, patient interfaces, medical technologies, EMR optimization paradigms, and clinical practice innovations, with an eye towards continuous quality improvement.

  • Interact with executive management, vendors, practice managers, and physician partners on matters related to clinical quality and innovation.

  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions to improve patient engagement, clinical workflows, and medical services.

  • Provide input into strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and healthcare technology systems.

  • Streamline the effective utilization of the Athena electronic medical records (EMR) system and ensure it meets the operational and administrative needs of the organization while making both the patient and provider experience simple, effective, and efficient.

  • Develop and oversee clinical strategies and operations for continuous improvement on key clinical, quality, and EMR measures.

  • Supervise the development of provider and practice facing education and materials.

  • Ensure that clinical teams are appropriately resourced, aligned, and deployed to meet performance goals and that continuous improvement assessments and activities are in place.

  • Inform the maintenance of key performance indicators and evaluation criteria for key programs.

Job Requirements:

  • MD/DO required, Board-eligible or board-certified fellow of ACOG

  • 5+ years of experience providing patient care in private practice, community health center, or academic health center

  • Expertise in medical technology: office-based tech, virtual interfaces, and clinical tools

  • Experience managing teams

  • Skilled in project management

  • Vested belief in tech-enablement of Advantia s services to net consistent results at scale while reducing operating costs

  • Data analytics knowledge - the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to inform action plan and strategy

  • Ability to create plans, socialize them, and work with stakeholders to gain buy-in
