Job Position: Medical Director of Clinical Operations

The Medical Director of Clinical Operations will provide clinical oversight and help lead our team of providers to assure high standards of care for our patients. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the health of the communities we serve and will be a practicing physician as well as an established medical leader with proven experience improving clinical operations and building strong teams. The Medical Director will work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and Associate Chief Medical Officer.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide clinical leadership by supporting, training, and evaluating providers, and serve as team champion for delivering high-quality patient care
  • Assists with provider recruitment to meet clinical needs
  • Make continuous efforts to identify opportunities to improve clinical operations, clinical outcomes, and patient experience
  • Help develop and implement clinical policies and procedures in our ambulatory care network to ensure patient care quality; patient safety; and compliance with rules, regulations, and standards
  • Manage competing priorities and use multiple systems, including our electronic health records systems, to provide medical information and patient support
  • Improve, implement, and innovate clinical operations and workflows
  • Assist with clinical integration of new practices into the ambulatory care network
  • Work closely with our Operations, Quality, and Rendr 360 (care management and coordination) teams
  • Assists leadership in overseeing company ancillary services (radiology) and working with our specialists including cardiology, ENT, GI, hematology/oncology, etc.
  • Participate in various Committees, including Medical Directors, and Medical Subspecialty Committees
  • Provide patient care as assigned  
  • Plays major role in provider recruitment through interviewing and professional networking in coordination with the Human Resources Department to meet the clinical needs of the network
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • MD with a current, valid, unrestricted license in NY; DEA license
  • 5+ years of primary care experience; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine a plus
  • Bi-lingual English and (Mandarin or Cantonese) Chinese strongly preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in a physician leadership role
  • Ability to effectively multi-task with a high degree of integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Work a full-time work schedule
  • Traveling is required part of the time to various medical practices across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens
