VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for a dynamic and committed Hospitalist to join our budding program!
The Sacramento VA Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of UC Davis Medical School. HiH offers a truly attractive opportunity to practice medicine, bringing inpatient acute care skills and applying them in the patient s home environment, combining a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient medicine. Most clinical time will be spent attending on the rounding service and some on consult service. Position includes paid admin time for research, administrative projects, CME and vacation. Healthcare systems of the future will resemble HiH as more and more systems have started opting for this care model. This is your opportunity to get into Hospital in Home at the ground floor level! Being a start-up program, still in its adolescent years, HiH offers a fantastic growth opportunity for a provider to expand their horizons and explore the enormous untapped opportunities.
With a flexible work schedule which allows for spending quality time with the family and being able to sleep in one s own bed every night, this rare opportunity won t come by very often.
Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen; 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, 3) board prepared/certified in Internal Medicine and 4) confirm vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which are both requirements for all Health Care Personnel (HCP) employed by Department of Veterans Affairs. Preferred experience: Best qualified applicants would have completed a chief residency, publications or teaching awards.
