Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon - Stanford University
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a board certified/eligible orthopaedic surgeon to join the department at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the University Medical Line (UML) or on the Clinician Educator Line (CE). The department has a special interest in applicants with experience in total ankle arthroplasty, revision total ankle arthroplasty, ankle arthroscopy, reconstructive procedures, and minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Applicants with a minimum of three years of experience will be given preference.
- The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
- The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic line/rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. We expect the successful candidate to provide surgical and non-surgical care for orthopaedic patients and (for UML) produce scholarly work in the candidate s major areas of interest, as well as teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students. The successful applicant should be eligible for a California Medical License.
