Mount Sinai South Nassau is currently seeking a full-time Pathologist to join its hospital-based practice in Oceanside!

We currently have an opportunity for a Board Certified AP/CP Pathologist with a NYS MD License and excellent diagnostic and communication skills to join a hospital-based practice. Fellowship trained in Cytopathology required.

Our CAP and AABB Accredited Clinical Laboratory with 99 Employee FTEs and an affiliated Residency Program in Anatomic Pathology performs over 1 million billable tests and examines over 14,000 surgical specimens annually. Our 24/7 Lab encompasses all Pathology Disciplines including Microbiology, Biochemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology.

Position Qualifications:

  • NYCQ
  • NY Medical License
  • Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
  • Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
  • Fellowship with sub-specialty training especially in Cytopathology is required
  • Experienced Pathologist preferred to perform pathologic diagnosis on variety of surgical specimens, cytological specimens (GYN and non-GYN cytology), intraoperative frozen diagnosis and intraprocedural cytology evaluation
