Position description
The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with experience in the field of biomedical discovery broadly and mucosal inflammatory diseases. This focus area leverages new technologies such as single cell genetic sequencing and human multicellular modeling. This technology has allowed researchers to examine molecular patterns of human disease in new ways that will surely lead to new personalized therapies, therapies developed on a unique disease “fingerprint.”

Considered candidates would lead these research teams of the future as they implement skills in systems biology (integrating complex discovery data sets) and multi-dimensional human model systems (organoid systems) to move beyond animal model systems to the human systems of the future providing predictive power. At Mayo Clinic, our biorepository, vast complex patient population, and cutting edge core -omic discovery platforms ensure our readiness to make this transition.

Skill required for this opportunity are Experience in multicellular model systems including bioinformatic techniques requisite for integrating complex datasets.


License or certification
Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
