The Iowa Clinic, P.C. is currently seeking multiple Interventional Cardiologists to provide inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology services to patients in clinical and hospital settings in Des Moines and West Des Moines, Iowa, with clinical coverage in Ottumwa, Iowa approximately 3 days per month and Newton, IA 1-2 days per month. Position requires working frequent evening and weekend call schedules.
Duties include: Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures affecting the heart and vascular system, including structural heart cases such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and congenital heart disease; perform and interpret diagnostic tests and provide various cardiology services, including: echocardiograms; stress echocardiograms; Holter monitors; PTCA; electrocardiogram; event monitors; TAVR; nuclear cardiology; transesophageal echocardiogram; diagnostic cardiac catheterization; and stent.
The minimum requirements for this position are a Medical Degree or foreign equivalent; completion of an Internal Medicine residency program; board certification in internal medicine; completion of 36-month fellowship in cardiology, and completion of one-year fellowship in interventional cardiology; possess or be eligible for an Iowa Medical License; eligibility for registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration; and eligibility for reimbursement from the Medicare/Medicaid programs.
