RESPIRATORY INSTITUTE, DIRECTOR of the RESPIRATORY PHYSIOLOGY PROGRAM
The Cleveland Clinic announces its search for a physician to lead the Respiratory Physiology Program, in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine. The Director of the Respiratory Physiology Program will also serve as Medical Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratories, encompassing 45 technicians in 23 locations across Northeast Ohio. The Director will have the opportunity to lead research and work closely with investigators in the Lerner Research Institute (LRI), where collaborative research projects incorporating respiratory physiology are ongoing in several areas, including exhaled breath analysis, pulmonary vascular disease, asthma, COPD, transplant, and interstitial lung disease.
We are looking for a talented individual with a track record of performing original research and aptitude for delivering programmatic growth and innovating care delivery. The successful applicant will need to be recognized as an excellent clinician. The Department is particularly interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The successful candidate will also be nominated for a faculty appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM) of Case Western Reserve University at a rank commensurate with experience of Associate or Full Professor level. CCLCM is a five-year program that trains medical students to become physician investigators, integrating basic science, research and clinical medicine.
