The YNHHS Occupational Medicine clinical team serves over 30,000 Yale New Haven Health System employees and several hundred external corporate clients. The multidisciplinary team of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other professionals are dedicated to providing employees with excellence in occupational and episodic health care. The delivery team includes more than thirty clinicians who work across nine ambulatory locations. Join YNHHS and our Occupational Health and Wellness Services Team at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven! This rare opportunity is for a full-time, weekday position for an Occupational Medicine board-certified Physician serving three clinic locations across the New Haven region.
The Occupational Medicine Physician will be required to perform pre-placement and periodic surveillance examinations on patients and to evaluate employees with work-related injuries, illnesses, or exposures. The Physician will also perform episodic care for YNHHS employees and assist with bridging care to our primary care providers. She/he will work collaboratively with co-workers and other health care professionals to ensure a high standard of patient care, efficient clinic operations, and education and training for the clinicians. We offer teaching opportunities with an appointment at the Yale School of Medicine.

Licensure and Education:
The Occupational Medicine Physician will hold a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of CT. DEA and CSR required. Board Certification in Occupational Medicine or a related specialty (Preventive Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine) is required, as well as clinical experience in Occupational Medicine and episodic care. If a candidate is a recent graduate of an Occupational Medicine or Preventive Medicine training program, board eligibility is an acceptable alternative.
Experience:
Occupational Medicine with the emphasis on direct patient care and continuing to develop and train others as our services continue to grow.
