The Department of Anesthesiology and Division of Pain Medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) are seeking a board certified/board eligible, fellowship-trained Pain Medicine physician to join our comprehensive pain management program.

This is a faculty position that will be primarily located at the state-of-the-art Froedtert West Bend Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Clinics.

  • In addition to excellent clinical and interventional skills, the ideal candidate will have interest and experience in growing a clinical program, as there is significant opportunity to expand our presence at this site.
  • Candidates with the ability to perform full scope of interventional techniques, including spinal cord stimulation implantation, are preferred.

The Division of Pain Medicine at MCW includes 7 physicians, 2 PhD pain psychologists, 1 LCSW therapist and 2 Advanced Practice Providers, as well as 4 fellows and several psychology graduate students each year. The program serves multiple sites both near the Froedtert and MCW campus, as well as several community sites and covers both ambulatory and in-patient services.

The Department of Anesthesiology at MCW includes 120 clinical faculty members, 10 active research faculty members, 66 residents and 17 fellows in pediatric anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, critical care, regional acute pain and pain medicine.  Affiliated clinical sites include Froedtert Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), Wheaton Franciscan St. Joseph’s Hospital, Community Memorial Hospital, and several ambulatory surgery centers in southeast Wisconsin.

The city was incorporated in 1885 and has been the home of many major businesses, including West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and The West Bend Aluminum Company, which became the West Bend Company. Known for its high quality of life, West Bend is home to some of the region’s best museums, historic downtown, outdoor attractions, shops, parks and more.  The West Bend School District is currently the 24th largest school district—of 421—in the state of Wisconsin.  The city is also the Geocaching Capital of the Midwest™ and geocachers from around the world come to West Bend to enjoy this activity.
