Nephrologist Opportunity in Gainesville, FL
The Gainesville, FL Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a full-time Nephrologist.
You will provide inpatient and outpatient services and be expected to diagnose, treat and care for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, a wide variety of kidney diseases including glomerular, tubulo-interstitial, and vascular causes of kidney failure, and patients with refractory or endocrine causes of hypertension. Inpatient medical care is performed in conjunction with the University of Florida Fellowship Programs. Manage patients in our out-patient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis program. Participate in the education of house-staff and nephrology fellows in teaching conferences with University of Florida Nephrology Division, both as an audience member and as a speaker. A joint clinical appointment with the University of Florida is encouraged. Mentorship and assistance in obtaining research funding is available if desired. Manageable on-call schedule!
