Temple Health has an exciting practice opportunity for general gastroenterologists to be based out of our suburban partner sites.  This is a great opportunity to become affiliated with a nationally recognized program with a rich history.

The ideal candidate will be interested in working in a private practice setting dedicated to providing the highest quality of clinical care. The opportunity includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities as well as routine endoscopic procedures.  The selected candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a multidisciplinary, diverse environment. Successful candidates will have completed training at an ACGME accredited program, BE/BC in gastroenterology and eligible for medical licensure in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

In addition to a competitive salary, and comprehensive suite of benefits – including health, dental, vision, life, malpractice, paid vacation, CME and much more, – the position offers:

  • An opportunity to participate in educational conferences at Temple University Hospital
  • A uniquely supportive practice environment with an emphasis on quality patient care
  • Adjunct appointment at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine is available for qualified candidates

The Gastroenterology Section at Temple is one of the nation’s most comprehensive centers for the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders, covering the full breadth of gastrointestinal diseases and liver disorders. We utilize some of the most advanced diagnostic technologies available in the country and specialize in advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures that are only available in select centers. Our large and varied clinical practice takes advantage of the peerless state-of-the-art facilities of our Digestive Disease Center equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for the management of everything from complex motility disorders and pancreatico-biliary diseases, to small intestinal conditions requiring deep, device-assisted enteroscopy and advanced endoscopic surgical techniques like POEM (Per oral Endoscopic Myotomy). In addition to our varied clinical activities, we are committed to the education and training of physicians. We offer a three-year fellowship that reflects the clinical activities of a large urban tertiary care referral hospital with the research opportunities provided by an outstanding faculty of recognized experts.

Temple Health, one of Philadelphia's leading academic medical centers, is home to more than 1,000 physicians and scientists who share the mission of bringing innovative treatments to patients.

Giving our patients access to some of the world's most advanced therapies — and helping them achieve outcomes once thought impossible — is the driving force for all our clinical care, research, and medical education.
