Research Faculty Positions, Division of General Pediatrics

Boston Children’s Hospital

The Division of General Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital seeks full-time faculty members at the levels of Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. The current solicitation particularly seeks career scientists or researchers.

The Division includes over 120 faculty members working as clinicians, educators, quality improvement experts, and researchers in the area of primary care, hospital medicine, complex care, child protection, environmental health, and global health. Our group is highly collaborative both within and outside of Boston Children’s Hospital. We seek to attract researchers interested in working with other researchers, clinicians, and educators to study care delivery and health policy, and the effectiveness of interventions designed to improve care. Current research faculty include individuals with expertise in health services research, translational research, patient safety, quality measurement, dissemination and implementation research, health policy and decision science. Research funding comes from federal agencies, private foundations and donors. The Division offers five fellowships: Health Services Research, General Academic Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Pediatric Environmental Health, and Pediatric Global Health.

Successful applicants are dynamic individuals with a track record or high potential for federal funding and research interests that synergize with the Division’s multi-disciplinary strengths and training mission. Strong collaborative skills are a must and experience conducting multi-center research is highly desirable. Both clinical and non-clinical researchers are encouraged to apply. The applicant will be expected to meet the annual teaching requirements by training medical students, residents, or fellows.
