OB Patient Safety Officer

The Division of Patient Safety at NYU Langone Health s Manhattan Campus is seeking a full time Patient Safety Officer to join our team. We are a high-volume, high acuity service with approximately 5700 deliveries per year. There is a strong focus on education of our medical students and residents, and our team works closely with our trainees.
Work responsibilities include a maximum of 13 sessions per month, and each session is 12 hours.
Our team values collaboration, enthusiasm, integrity, transparency, and communication. We are dedicated to research and education and are eager to add a new team member to our Division. We work closely with the Obstetrical Teams comprising of Attendings, Nurses, Trainees and Allied Health Professionals, to provide quality evidence-based care to our patients. There are opportunities for involvement in quality improvement projects, clinical research, mentorship of trainees and leadership opportunities.
We are seeking an individual who can effectively communicate, is passionate about patient safety and quality, and who enjoys working in a high volume, high acuity, multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
Candidates must be Board certified with minimum 5 years clinical experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe, high quality, state of the art patient care as well as trainee education. Applicants should have successfully completed a U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency training program and have a New York State Medical license.
