The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Acute Care, Trauma, and Surgical Critical Care. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible. Completion of a Surgical Critical Care fellowship and experience in a trauma center are preferred. This position will be based at the UCSF-East Bay Surgery program at Oakland's Highland Hospital, a member of the Alameda Health System (AHS).

Candidates who have a Graduate Medical Education (GME) educational focus are strongly encouraged to apply. Depending on experience, the selected candidate will be considered to serve in a leadership capacity for the UCSF-East Bay General Surgery Residency Program.

Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs.
