Hematologist/Oncologist will be responsible for the following duties: evaluate and manage patients who have been diagnosed with cancer and hematological disorders. Diagnose and treat blood disorders that involve abnormalities of the blood cells, platelets, bone marrow and other organs involved in the production of healthy blood. Provide advice, care, and support for patients and their families before, during and after treatment. Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Prescribe and administer treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy for patients with cancer or hematological origin.  Perform extensive research toward the prevention and cure of various blood diseases, including anemia, leukemia, sickle cell disease and hemophilia. Promote good health by counseling patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive health care. 

Minimum Requirements: Medical degree or foreign equivalent, plus completion of residency training program in Internal Medicine and fellowship training program in Hematology/Oncology, Board eligible or Board certified in Hematology/Oncology, and Georgia medical license.
