Banner Health / Banner Children’s Specialists (BCS) is seeking a Pediatric Nocturnist to join a well-established program in the Phoenix metro area.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible, possess strong clinical team building and interpersonal relationship skills along with proven training and experience as a Pediatric Nocturnist. The physician hired will be based at Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in a collaborative work environment within an integrated healthcare system.
Details and Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible – Pediatrics
- Patients will include newborns and pediatrics
- 12-15 patients/day
- 7 on 7 off schedule
- No overnight call and no ICU coverage
- Newborn nursery coverage if desired, no delivery attendance
- The team consists of 13 core physicians
- Primary Location: Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center
- Additional hospital privileges at Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center

Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 260-bed children’s care facility and level II pediatric trauma center that opened in November 2009 and provides comprehensive pediatric care, including a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a 104-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which are staffed with 24/7 intensivists, a growing cardiac service line, and a 26-bed Pediatric Emergency Department. There are more than 240 pediatric physicians on staff covering more than 27 specialties providing a full range and scope of services. The mission of our hospitals is to promote and advance the health and wellness of hospitalized infants, children, and young adults with acute life-threatening illnesses.
