ABOUT THE POSITION

The University of Louisville, Department of Radiology is expanding and is seeking a full-time, academic radiologist at the proposed rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Fellowship trained in, abdominal imaging, musculoskeletal, or mammography is preferred. Clinical duties will be mostly in the area of training or experience. Leadership opportunities for appropriate applicants will be considered.

Conference Participation: Multidisciplinary tumor boards and trauma conferences, resident case and core didactic lecture conferences; medical school lectures.

Research: While optional, if interested, the desired candidate will have a strong research record of publications or other evidence of scholarly activity.

Required Qualifications: Medical Degree or equivalent, eligibility for Kentucky Medical License, and ABR certified or eligible.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Clinical Duties and Training of Diagnostic Radiology Residents. We provide a full spectrum of Breast Imaging services. The Breast Imaging Center which is located at the Brown Cancer Center has been recognized by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We perform a total of approximately 12,000 breast imaging studies and interventional procedures each year. Clinical responsibilities include all aspects of multi-modality breast imaging (digital mammography and tomosynthesis, breast US, breast MRI) and all imaging-guided interventional breast procedures. Applicants should be proficient in screening and diagnostic mammography (including tomosynthesis), ultrasound, MRI and US, stereotactic and MRI guided biopsies. There will be general radiology responsibilities, but as our breast imaging centers experience growth, general radiology responsibilities will decrease.
