The University Of Connecticut School of Medicine seeks an energetic and visionary leader to chair its Department of Medicine. The Chair will participate in ongoing recruitment of Medical School faculty within the context of a new hospital, research space renovations and medical student enrollment increases.

UConn Health is composed of the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine, Graduate Programs in Biomedical  Sciences, Public Health and Clinical &. Translational Research, the John Dempsey Hospital and faculty practice, all located in the beautiful and historic community of Farmington, half way between New York and Boston.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and CV. Minimum requirements include Board Certification in Internal Medicine, eligibility to be credentialed as active clinical faculty at the John Dempsey Hospital, record of funded research and other credentials to support appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor and evidence of leadership ability. Successful candidate can also be considered for the James E.C. Walker, MD Heath Net, Inc. Chair in Primary Care.
