The Center for Advanced Heart Failure at University Hospitals (UH), Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute and the Seidman Cancer Center, are seeking to hire an exceptional candidate at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with expertise in cardio-oncology, to serve as the Director of the Cardio-Oncology Program. The Program director will be an outstanding clinician with charisma who is an emerging and/or upcoming academic leader in the field.  Expertise in areas specific to cardio-oncology such as genomics, precision medicine or application of specialized bioinformatic tools and AI/Machine-Learning (ML) or health services research would be an advantage. The Seidman Cancer Center is a nationally ranked Comprehensive Cancer Center with world-class cancer expertise across the translational research spectrum.

The Harrington HVI Cardio-oncology Program, founded in 2013, cares for over 1,500 patients a year in close partnership with the Seidman Cancer Center, at three distinct sites within our integrated System. Our Program has published protocols, advanced echo and MRI capabilities, and a comprehensive clinical database. The Program is supported by an administrator, a clinical coordinator, and advanced practice providers and nurses with programmatic support from Seidman Cancer Center.

The candidate should be BC/BE in cardiology with interest/expertise in cardio-oncology and will be expected to continue the Program’s growth in the outpatient and inpatient arena, accelerate its academic output, and continue to provide world-class service to the cancer patients of Northeast Ohio and beyond. Successful candidates are expected to be at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor level for appointment with the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.
