Description
The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine and the Stony Brook University Cancer Center, Stony Brook, NY, are seeking a hematologist/oncologist physician scientist interested in malignant hematology, bone marrow transplant, or cellular therapies. Experience with treating malignant hematology, bone marrow transplant, and CAR-T patients is preferred. Involvement in clinical trials and clinical research is expected.

Responsibilities and Requirements: Active participation in a clinical faculty practice including inpatient service on the malignant hematology/bone marrow transplant service, outpatient clinics, and inpatient hematology consultation. Active participation in clinical research is required. Contributions to the teaching and educational mission of the Division are expected.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications: MD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong interest in clinical research in malignant hematology, bone marrow transplantation or cellular therapies i.e. CAR-T cells. Experience with teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
